Cutting with Hot Wire

  • Description
  • Reviews

With EPS cutting with hot wire electrically heated wires are moved through the EPS block, the EPS beads are melted on and thus cut.

Cutting with hot wire is the most simple method to cut EPS and is particularly suitable when lower throughput capacities and higher dimension tolerances for the cut sheets are allowed.

With hot wire cutting plants the EPS block in succession is transferred through 3 stations (sheet cutting station, trimming and cross-cutting station) and cut in this process. At the end of the plant the finished sheets arrive on a roller conveyor, from there they are removed and packed.

The positioning of the wires in the single cutting stations is done manually.

The plant can additionally be equipped with block magazine, block tilter and waste removal ensuring an almost continuous cutting process.
