Rotary Technology

Mainly for the production of ICF systems with inserts (ICF=insulating concrete forms) Kurtz developed the shape moulding machine K 138 R, a very successful and unique machine concept on the market!

K138 R

Description of Function

With this machine in bed design (no tie bars) the steam chamber which is normally fix with standard machines can be turned round the vertical axis by 90°.

An inserting frame which is fixed at the rotating unit and which is charged with inserts during the foaming process itself rotates simultaneously with the steam chamber. In turned condition the produced moulding is demoulded and moved to a removing table while at the same time the inserts for the next cycle are automatically transferred into the mould half of the movable steam chamber.

A system guaranteeing fastest cycle times due to the short motion time of the rotary unit!
